1. Browser-First Data Policy

Unlike traditional web utilities, MyToolDock operates under a strict client-side model. When you perform tasks like compressing images, merging PDFs, counting words, or parsing JSON, all data processing takes place locally on your device. We do not upload your text, files, images, or documents to our servers, meaning we cannot read, analyze, sell, or store your data.

2. Local Storage and Preferences

We use standard browser localStorage and sessionStorage to retain user preferences. This is limited to:

• Selected user interface theme (Light Mode vs. Dark Mode).
• Chosen accent color parameters.
• Lightweight search index caches for faster autocomplete results.

You can clear this preference data at any time by wiping your browser cookies and site data.

3. Cookies and Analytics

MyToolDock does not set tracking cookies, and we do not use advertising or profiling trackers. We use two privacy-focused, third-party services to keep the site reliable:

• GoatCounter for basic, cookieless traffic analytics (which pages are visited, referring sites, browser and country-level trends). It does not build cross-site profiles or use tracking identifiers.
• Sentry for error monitoring, so we can find and fix bugs. When a tool encounters an unexpected error, technical details about that error (and, as with any request made to any server on the internet, your IP address) are sent to Sentry. This data is used only for debugging and is not used to identify you personally or combined with any other data we hold, because we hold none.

Neither service is used for advertising, and neither can see the files, text, or documents you process with our tools - that processing never leaves your browser, as described above. You can block these scripts in your browser settings with zero impact on tool functionality.

4. GDPR & CCPA Considerations

Because we do not collect, process, or store the personal documents, files, or text you work with, our data footprint is intentionally minimal - the great majority of what MyToolDock does never touches a server at all, which puts us in a strong position on core principles like data minimization. This page is not a certification of compliance with any specific regulation, and we encourage you to review it periodically as the site evolves. 5. Newsletter Emails

If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter using the form in the site footer, we store only the email address you provide, so we can send you occasional updates about new tools and guides. This is separate from the browser-first data policy above, which covers the files and text you process with our tools, not information you actively choose to share with us. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing support@mytooldock.com and asking to be removed.

6. Policy Changes

We may revise this privacy policy from time to time to accommodate new tools or safety integrations. The latest version will always be posted here with an updated revision date.
